The 2029 edition of the Rugby World Cup (RWC): Women’s, which will be hosted in Australia, will be the longest edition yet, 6 days longer than the previous edition in 2025, with a duration of 6 weeks being confirmed.
The news comes as eligible VISA cardholders have been announced to receive priority access to the next ticket release for RWC: Australia – Men’s 2027 from 12pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on the 28th of September 2026.
The 48-hour period of priority access will end on the 30th of September at 12pm AEST, exactly 24 hours before the next ticket release begins.
“Eligible” VISA cardholders for the priority access means people aged 18 or older & excluding the use of any digital wallet, virtual wallet, tokenised payment method, automated software or similar payment functionality to buy the tickets.
The priority access period for eligible VISA cardholders is being held to celebrate VISA become an official principal & the official payment technology partner for RWC: Australia – Men’s 2027 & Women’s 2029.
For both tournaments, VISA will also be providing secure payment technologies within the venues as well as premium experience opportunities. They will also co-present the Player Of The Match award. Eligible VISA cardholders will also have other exclusive access opportunities.
