This year did not feature an official theme again. The designated theme of ‘Thank You’ was chosen by Sydney Spectaculars as best matching the event retrospectively.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions on event attendance were put in place. No one can enter the Sydney central business district without a dedicated ticket to a hospitality venue that has a COVID-Safe Plan.
The vantage points were to be reserved for frontline workers & firefighters.

Started at 9:05pm. It was mainly a Sydney Harbour Bridge pylon projection show. However, on the TV broadcast, it was presented as a film. The film is shown below with the pylon projection show but a late unsychnonised appearance at the end of the video.
‘We Are One’ Charity Concert
Started at 9:10pm. Live on ABC Radio from 10pm.
The concert will raise funds for Lifeline & Kids Helpline. They raised $531,000 by Midnight.
