Tweets by @FireworksSydneyWhat is the ‘Fireworks Spectacular Rating’? This is a rating we developed to show comparison with the fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve 2014. An average fireworks display currently equates to a 45% ‘Fireworks Spectacular Rating’ while the Midnight Fireworks of Sydney New Year’s Eve equates to 100%. This rating does not apply to any light, projection or water show elements.
Why are Dubbo, Tamworth, Wagga-Wagga, Port Macquarie and Grafton included? These locations were used at the end of The Games of The XXVIIth Olympiad: Sydney 2000 – Closing Ceremony: Closing Night Harbour Spectacular. After the Olympic Rings ‘blew up’ on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, fireworks displays then commenced from these 5 locations thus making them official locations of a Sydney Harbour Bridge fireworks display. This concluding segment of the fireworks display was not televised.
If you know of a fireworks display or light, projection or water show that is not listed or you got any more enquiries, message us on Facebook or our YouTube channel.
